Interrail benefits in Finland

If your Interrail Pass is valid in Finland, you can get discounted ferry crossings, as well as other great offers.

 

Show your Interrail Pass to receive your discount or contact the specific company in advance. The discount benefits apply during the validity of your pass, whereas free travel on trains, buses or ferries is only valid on travel days.

Discounted travel between Finland and Germany with Finnlines ferries

 

Interrail Pass holders receive a 50% discount on the standard passenger fares when traveling on board of the modern Finnlines Fleet on the route:

Discounted Travel Between Finland and Russia

 

VR offer discounts for Eurail and Interrail passengers on Allegro and Tolstoi trains between Finland and Russia.

Allegro train offers discounted price for the route Helsinki to Saint Petersburg. The offer is valid for both 1st and 2nd class compartment and depending on time and day.

Bookings can be made by calling VR Customer Care tel. +358 923 192 902 from abroad or if the customer is in Finland the telephone number is 0600 41 900 (€1.99 / answered call + local network charge). Tickets are also sold at VR station booking offices in Finland.

 

Keep in mind:

Passport information is required at time of booking. Payments need to be made within 24 hours after booking after which tickets will be delivered per email or as paper ticket. Cancellations or changes are possible, at the latest 6 hours before departure against a fee of 10 euro per ticket. Please note that a valid visa to Russia is required when boarding the train.
