Stockholm - Berlin night train

 

Travel from Sweden to Germany while sleeping on the new Stockholm - Berlin night train. You don’t need to worry about airport check in or stressful traffic. You can relax and have a full night’s sleep, awaking in the heart of either Stockholm or Berlin.

Stockholm - Berlin night train routes

From 27 March 2021 the Stockholm - Berlin night train will travel from Sweden to Germany via Denmark (and vice versa). This train only runs from the end of March until the end of September/beginning October, with daily departures in the summer months.

The train runs on the following routes:

  • Stockholm – Malmö – Copenhagen – Hamburg – Berlin
  • Berlin – Hamburg – Copenhagen – Malmö – Stockholm
 

Check the Snälltåget website for the full schedule and route overview. Please note that your Pass has to valid in all countries you're travelling in (Germany, Denmark and Sweden).

Reservations

Reservations on the Stockholm - Berlin night trains are compulsory. We recommend you make your reservations as far in advance as possible. For this night train you can book your reservation up to 6 months in advance.

 

Please note that this train doesn't run the whole year. Check the timetable on the Snälltåget website for all departure dates. If you book this train on the day of its departure, please note you can only do so until 17:00.

 

For the private compartment, sheets, blankets and pillows are provided and included in the price. Travelling on this night train is only possible if your Interrail Pass is valid in both Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.

 

For the on-board restaurant. Krogen, it's mandatory to make a reservation. After booking your reservation you'll receive more information about this. There is also a little shop where you can buy some drinks and snacks. 


How to make reservations for the Stockholm - Berlin night train

You can reserve your sleeping accommodation on the Stockholm - Berlin night train in the following ways:

  • Through our Reservation Service

  • By visiting the Snälltåget website and using the campaign code "INTERRAIL".

  • By calling the Deutsche Bahn booking center (+49 1806 996 633). Open 24/7.

  • At the train station. Keep in mind that trains can become full during busy times.

  • Recliner seat: approx. € 39 p.p. (399 SEK)

  • Private compartment max 6 people: approx € 225 per compartment (2299 SEK)
